Walking into a boudoir studio for the first time can feel intimidating, especially if you don’t know what to expect. Let’s change that.

This post will answer your questions on what happens during a boudoir photoshoot.

What happens during a boudoir photoshoot at Love and Wanderlust Boudoir?

When you arrive at the Love and Wanderlust Boudoir Studio in Ottawa, you’re welcomed into a calm, private space designed to help you exhale. Professional hair and makeup sets the tone and gives you time to settle in while being pampered.

After you're all dolled up and feeling like a hottie, we'll try on outfits and choose your favourites for the session.

Once we begin shooting, you are never left wondering what to do. Every pose is demonstrated and adjusted for your body. We move slowly, intentionally, and with constant encouragement.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced. You are always in control.

After your session, you'll change back into "real people clothes" (if you remember what that is!) and head out for an hour break. Feel free to go grab a coffee, lunch or just take a nap on the couch at the studio (you did just have a 2 hour workout!).

You'll come back to the studio after your break and we’ll view your images together. This is where the magic really happens. Most women don’t recognize themselves at first. Then the emotions hit.

You'll choose your favourite photos, add on any additional products (we have some pretty neat ones!) then you'll be on your way.

From here, it takes about 4-6 weeks for your photos to be ready and products be delivered. If you need your photos by a certain date, please plan accordingly and book your session for at least 6-8 weeks prior to your special date.
